i dont have a problem with it but my kids wont get one until they can get a job and paid for it themselves..haha

no its obviously not necessary.... if they are in a college then it may be use for them for any urgent communication.. what for a school going boy or girl should have... it may fault them...

Until they reach 14, the mobile phones are not necessary for the school going children.

My daughter carries her phone to school and when home has no real interest in it. I feel much better when she calls me. Letting me know she is on her way to the library,on her way home,etc..

Only for emergencys i think someone in the teenage range should have one.

In my case, a mobile phone is a way in which I could contact my children wherever they are. On the other hand, my kids also feel secure that we, their parents are just a phonecall away.
