I Hope To Connect With My Cousin

I have many cousins on my dad's side and some live in Florida and some live here in Massachusetts. One of my cousins grew up in Florida while I grew up here so I did not get to see her much. She is living here now after going to college up here. I last saw her at one of our other cousin's weddings in March and we had spoken about trying to get together and hang out. I contacted her recently on facebook and we exchanged numbers. I am trying to make plans with her to go out and do something when we are both free. I hope that we will be able to connect and be friends. Have others experienced this?
