I should ask them for a free square of St. Augustine for the damages done.

Every time the Bulk Trash truck picks up our trash, that is, branches and vines and cuttings from the fence and around the lawn and house. They managed to scoop out a portion of the dirt and grass at the leading edge at the sidewalk on both sides of the sidewalk, at the curb as well. This will require that I not only buy some top soil to replace it, I will also have to dig around that area and put new fresh St. Augustine grass sodding in place of the grove they made with that heavy duty super scoop. Angry? Nah. I'll get over it. But I think they should pay me for the grass and dirt I will need to replace it with. But I ain't gonna ask them cause they might get even with me later. I already found a 9 inch nail in the driveway, just laying there. I placed it in a pot of soil to use as a reminder of just what kind of heavy metal trash I find along the edge of our drive to the street. It seems there is always either a screw, a nail or a tire lead balancing weight somewhere along the area we back out into the street. I don't want to be on their bad person list. I am already dealing with the stuff that seems to gravitate to our driveway and I don't need the headache of having them get rough with my garbage totes. I just looked it up and you have to buy a 500 SQ FT. bundle of that grass sod. It costs little over 449.00 to cover 500 square feet of ground area. I only need some squares, perhaps I can just get some seed and go from there.
Shop scotts 3.75-lb st. augustine seed in the grass seed section of Lowes.com.

Where I live, most of the time the truck that takes up the garbage leaves something that has to be cleaned by me

I had the same situation. I was prepared for it in advance and got my broom out ASAP.

Good luck. I'd certainly write them a little letter, requesting payment for your efforts.

I will give this some due consideration. Thanks for the advice.
