The Wonder Woman movie in consideration for an Oscar?

I have to give it to the entertainment public relations machine of the Wonder Woman movie for the hype that the heroine that actress Gal Gadot played and Patty Jenkins directed as been the inspiration for young ladies to see a female super hero have a hit movie.
Okay so Wonder Woman is the highest grossing film worldwide this summer making more than $780 million dollars.
Now get this, the same media machine that is pushing the Wonder Woman movie is now making waves that the movie could be in consideration for an Oscar for Best Picture.
I hate to burst your bubble Wonder Woman public relations machines, but I say this with my tongue firmly in cheek, but if the Wonder Woman movie wins an Oscar for Best Picture at the Academy Awards in 2018, then my original characters identical twins Donna and Debi Isthmus and their student Panama Squirrel will be guest stars at the Freeform sitcom about Squirrel Girl and her mates.

Nice marketing to hit 1 billion for Wonder Woman. But maybe, the setting of world war era could help for Oscars.

In my opinion the Oscars are given to the stars of movies that are in good standing with the powers that be that run that company.

If Gal Gadot wins an Oscar, I insist on a lifetime achievement Oscar for Pamela Anderson in recognition of her overlooked performance in Barb Wire.

To be one of the only females that Made their mark in history as a pin up and a superhero would i think would do a better film. Then the great captain america i have yet to see this film, your review has appeased my slightly sexiest in-turpitude on skipping that not so small chapter in the marvel hero movie making industry, thank you for your insight.

You are welcome. I mean it could happen that the Wonder Woman will win awards from other awards shows and an Oscar could happen even it will be a longshot.

Good luck with that event happening but if the theme for the Oscars in 2018 is women in film, then Wonder Woman could win a Best Picture Oscar.
