The Unloved Angel

Nowadays, for unknown reasons or purposes, we seem to be blinded by the real value of love, care, friendship and family. We are too preoccupied by the Have Been's and What Could Be's that we fail to appreciate the present. What's worse, those who need our care and love the most seem to be suffering the greatest, our children. Late yesterday afternoon, I met up with my parents. I was surprised because instead of my dad going to my direction, he walked the opposite way and stopped in front of this elderly woman. He was obviously very mad and seemed to be telling her off. My mom then came up to me and told me why. She and my dad witnessed this said old lady and a little girl of about 3 or 4 years old crossing the street. While doing so, the kid tripped and broke her slipper. Though they were still in the middle of the road and still on the process of crossing, she got really angry at the child and hit her repeatedly, cursing and shouting at her. Maybe the girl was too young to understand yet how dangerous and embarassing what her grandma is doing to her, but everyone else who saw, did. As they sit together at the mall's waiting area, they were about 3 feet apart that you would think they were not together. Aren't grandparents supposed to be the one spoiling the children and making it difficult for parents to discipline them? Well in this case, she was the abuser. I realized more how truly blessed I am to have both parents who are very loving and supportive to me that despite our differences, they never fail to make me feel loved. Heck, I show a lot more love and affection to my dogs compared to her with that poor little girl! Well I guess the kid is used to this kind of treatment, for no tear escaped her eyes during this whole ordeal. Children should be used in being showered with affection, not be the receiver of hate.

Wow that woman will receive some punishment to her own self one way or the other. The poor little girl.

I still hope though that she sees the errors of her way and change for the better. Let us just pray for her and for the kid that she may grow up feeling loved, not hated.
