Looking for any ideas on a toy that a 1 year old would like. One of my good former coworkers had a baby about a year ago, she has always financially struggled and so even though Ill be out of town during her birthday party, I asked if she needed anything. My friend told me (after saying I dont have to a million times) that any type of toy would be great. I have a couple of small Amazon gift cards so I thought I would use them towards that. But I do need some ideas. What kind of toys are good or appropriate for a 1 year old? Any ideas appreciated!

Building blocks are great. The young ones will like those with different colors and shapes.

You are right! Does a place like Target or Walmart sell these things?

Any learning, sound toy that says 12-18months or under for age. Dont give 2+ toys as you never know if theyll choked on something from it.

Exactlt. That is definitely my fear. It also has to fit in a medium sizeor large flat rate Usps box. Most of the toys Ive seen si far are very large
