As you had read in my past posts, there were 1 stray black female cat and 1 stray black kitten found dead in my garden, among the tall bushes or weeds.
This is what I found at the scene and I needed your analysis to help me sort out what is / are the possible causes of the deaths. Two of them on the same day.
1) I found the kitten laying on its' side way on the slab among the bushes. There were no wounds but the eyes were rotting off. Flies buzzing over it. Smelly on the 2nd day. A few days before its' death, it was scampering away when it saw me stomping on the ground. I was trying to scare it off from my garden.
2) I found the mother cat's head stuck in between the yam tree/plant which was taller than me. The yam tree ( hidden among the bushes ) was located near to the fence. Her teeth were gnashing but I could not see her eyes as her head was facing another way, totally stiffen. Her legs were in the air, stiffen, as if scratching something. No wounds found on her body either. Flies buzzing and awfully smelly.
My neighbor had poisoned my garden plantation before , although I do not have any proof , just my suspicions because all the veggies, plants were dead too.
Now, what do you think ?
Were the deaths of the 2 cats caused by:
a) heat- dry scorching weather- lack of water
b) strangulation
c) food poisoning
d) attacked by other cats
e) other reasons

Sounds like they were poisoned. Not necessarily on purpose. I Would have had the animal control officer and environmental police check them out.

I guess you are right because my teen also suspected it might be food poisoning. Thanks for your comments
