When the 2017 summer movie season ends, this year will be remembered for a few movies like "Wonder Woman" and "Guardians Of The Galaxy" being successful movies in terms of making money for the studios. This past weekend with the opening of Stephen King's novel "The Dark Tower" that stars Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey made $19.5 million dollars in North American theaters which is considered low for the summer movie season. Stephen King's top grossing movie called "1408" which came out in 2007 made $20.6 million dollars. Maybe Stephen King's novels who are basically horror movies are wearing out their welcome in the box office. Anyone want to see a movie with a happy ending? Good luck finding one.

I used to read his books, I however did not watch the movies because I felt the movies could not convey the feelings in the book. His writings are complicated...like It and Christine and Tommyknockers. They just don't transition well to the movie format. I did not like the Dark Tower series at all.

Books give more details to the story than a movie does like the Rocky Balboa books.

There are like 10 Dark Tower books in the series and the final conclusion was so awful that King apologized for it.

It was that bad so Stephen King said he was sorry? Gee I am thankful for the view fans who read my Wordgirl fan fictions which is a parody of the Justice League cartoons.
