Crab boils out of water!

I woke up late again this morning and saw this pot being boiled with a crab on it. Turns out the water's out and starts to roast from the bottom. I turned it off and found Mom outside talking to some one. She was shocked that she forgot all about her crabs.
I wonder what could have happened if I didn't found that, it would have been a total roast cab.

That is the reason why I stopped cooking on a stove. Slow cooker for life!

@Letranknight2015 I have electric theormos for hot water, I have electric oven for baking and slow cooker for stew and soups.
this is a slow cooker and it is where most of my meals came from. I cook before I sleep and I wake up with ready lunch. I dont have a normal work schedule so I am not able to have breakfast.

@ilocosboy I made a promise that I will be on her side always..seeing her getting old made me realize how lucky I am to have her as mother..definitely going to keep that promise until her end, which am not ready for.

It's a good thing that you found out about it in time. My hubby always forgets things too so I always remind my children to be cautious and mindful. Especially that I am out all day.

@Letranknight2015 That's why I always say when cooking, avoid multitasking. Set other things aside and concentrate on cooking.I don't want to come home and found all of them turned into ashes.

Hello @ARIES1973 specially if your boiling or cooking something. That reminds me way back when my brother was here and he forgot when he was boiling his kids feeding bottles, all melted

maybe the fire of the stove was too strong that the water boiled and evaporated fast?

It happens while doing multi tasking. Once I was doing something in kitchen in between I went to put dry cloths. I forgot about what I was doing in kitchen. I find out smoke outside and I thought it is from other's home and searching what is wrong there. Finally I find it out it is from my kitchen.
