Your Favorite French Films

I love to watch foreign films. I rely on subtitles when I watch a foreign film. Over the years I’ve watched a sizable number of French Films. Among the many French films I’ve watched two that stand out for me are ‘Amelie’ and ‘A Very Long Engagement’. In my opinion these films are a must watch in a lifetime. What are your favorite French films?

I have seen many wonderful French fils along the years. The ones that comes to my mind now is Hiroshima, mon amour and Les 400 coups.

@TheInvisibleMan I have watched only 2 films of isabelle Huppert... 'Aloise' and 'The Piano Teacher'. I want to watch more of her films in the days ahead. Feel free to recommend a few.

Those two movies star Audrey Tautou. The Story of Adele H with Isabelle Adjani. Cousin, Cousine. Rules of the Game. A Man and a Woman.
