I have thought about giving our next door neighbor some home grown yellow squash.

My brother has a friend who grows fresh veggies in the back yard garden. The abundant number of summer squash that grows in his back yard is such that when they give us a few bags, it is even too much for us to store or even eat. So I am going to ask my wife if she would allow me to hand a few of these freshly picked yellow squash to our next door neighbor, who is a retired barber and a good person. And if you have interests in learning to grow summer squash in your area well, you can look at the page I give a link to here below for Texas:
Squash is a popular warm-season garden vegetable. Squash will grow well in all areas of Texas. Squash plants take up a lot of space.

He lives alone and is an elder, but then he might know how to cook squash.

I do hope so. Tomorrow morning I will give him some of it. But not all of it. My wife managed to find a place in the refrigerator for most of it. We may be getting more soon so when I do I will share more.

@lookatdesktop Finding a place in the fridge is seems good, you can preserve well. I dont like to waste food. Sharing is good !! Thanks for the good thoughts for today :)

I really seldom eat squash, but since it was offered and my wife is a splendid cook, I am much abliged.
