Waiting for doctor

Australia
August 8, 2017 1:11am CST
My appointment for my doctor is 2pm. We came a bit early, 1:45pm. Now it is 2:10pm. So been waiting here for almost 30minutes. Hate waiting here. Hope we don't have to wait for 1 hr or more! Do you also have to wait that long when you have appointment at a certain time?

Waiting is nothing as long as the doctor's result to you is good news.

An accident can mean that the order is disturbed. But if there is no accident, a long wait means that the practice is badly organised. Many patients are no excuse.

I usually come 2 hours before our family doctor comes around. Better wait than set another appointment.

Yes, I have...many times. There was a time I had to wait for nearly an hour. Sometime I don't even know why they need to book you in when you still have to wait.

That is exactly what I mean. We all have precious time and that is why we book for appointment to have that time slot. If we wait 5-15 minutes, that is fine but more than 15 minutes of waiting especially 30 minutes or more, that is not acceptable as we all have things to do.

In India, most of all doctor's are so busy, so it is very normal to wait for consultation

Hopefully, you didn't have to wait too long for your doctor. I generally have to wait a little bit as well. It's rare that I have to wait for more than 30 minutes. Although I haven't seen my doctor in a while.

If I go to government clinics or hospital, it is definitely a long wait there.

You must be spoilt by overly well-organised doctors. I wouldn't consider 30 minutes a reason for complaining.

I was able to get in after 30 minutes i think. It's okay, just hate waiting. It's good that we have mylot that I can do some chatting on discussions while waiting.

Medical appointments are notorious for keeping you waiting.

Yes it is annoying if we have to wait for 30minutes or more considering we have an appointment.
