Misery Loves Company

I guess it's true that people who feel miserable drives to infect others who are happy and have a possible outlook in life, their virus of misery. I have tried putting myself in their shoes, but I just can't truly fathom why in order to lift their spirits up, they have to bring people down. We only live once, unless you believe in reincarnation, so we have to live to the fullest, spread positivity, love and acceptance. Let's not waste it on such stupid mundane things like selfishness, pride and hatred.

Exactly! I think most of us just want to enjoy life, make the most of it and be positive no matter what, but then again, there are these few who just can't help but delve into misery and pull others with then.

Some negative folks definitely do try to take others down with them, thats for sure! Try to avoid these types if possible and surround yourself with positive people :)

I definitely agree! It is quite funny though that even if I give so much effort from avoiding them, they always find a way to creep into my life. I'm used to it now though and I don't get bothered anymore because I have now figured out who I truly am and I am sure of what kind of person I want to be. I just can't help but get annoyed when I see it being done to other people.

I've encountered a few people like this and it is very obvious that they just want other people to be miserable like them too, that they try to coat their experiences, tell a lie to convince someone or even their friend just so they will get out of the better position they are in right now and so they can be miserable too. Its like one time in our workplace - I'd say working here is not perfect but it can't be super bad. So there was this person who left and obviously had some concerns where he transferred. Soon enough, if there is someone that would post something related to work, they are so quick to jump in and even convince them that yes that is bad there, you should get out, etc etc. only to find out that they themselves are applying back at our company.

I will never understand why miserable people have to make others miserable in order to feel good. They have to make themselves seem better than others, which is awful.

Exacly my point! Why can't they just figure out the cause of their misery then find a solution for it, instead of doing that. If majority of the people on earth act like that, the world be a much better place.
