A Few More Odd Facts

In creating a game for my great grandchildren, I printed out some pictures of various animals and their babies. The idea was to match the mothers to their babies. And the interesting part was that I learned a few things myself.
For instance, did you know that a group of ducks is called a “brace?”
Or that a group of pigs is called a “drove?”
Here’s another ODD fact:
Did you know that Abraham Lincoln was NOT the keynote speaker when he delivered his famous Gettysburg Address? The keynote speaker that day was Edward Everett.
Or did you know that Venus is the only planet that rotates clockwise?
And how about this one: Did you know that the first CD pressed in the U.S.A. was Bruce Springsteen's “Born in the USA?”
Do you play cards?
You might not know that the only king in a deck of cards without a mustache is the King of Hearts.
Or did you know that a Boeing 747’s wind span is longer than the Wright brother’s first flight?

That is quite amazing, isn't it? The interesting thing that I have read is that the "Gettysburg Address" as we know it today and as children in school memorize it, is probably NOT what Lincoln originally said, word for word..
There is no written copy of his original words, I understand. It's still a very good message and certainly a memorable part of American history.
