Should I feel excited?

I worked for almost two years in a school away from a city. Living in such place is very challenging because it lacks resources like electricity or water. A year ago I applied for transfer just yesterday I didn't expect that my request was granted. I was excited at first when I heard about the news but suddenly I felt sad because I've learned to love the place and the people around that place. I don't know if I should be excited and happy about that or should I just waive on this opportunity? I really don't know.

It is really up to you if you would proceed with your decision. Good luck in whatever you decide.

If it's affecting your personal life, maybe it was a good to get yourself transferred. Sometimes it's not practical to stay in one place your not comfortable with anymore.

My first time in that place was a disaster,I got sick and became homesick but later on I learned how to love the place and was able to adapt in the kind of environment. Thank you for your advice.

When does your school year start in the Philippines? I am guessing it starts soon. I also start next week, though I live in Japan. Japanese start their school year in April, but international schools use the American system and start in August or September. I am sure you will love the people wherever you are since you work in a school!

The school year has started Denise, we've just finished our quarter exam and now we are soon to have semester break by October. This next quarter, I'm advised to transfer to another school which will be nearer to my house, it's a good news actually but if I'll grab this, I'll be missing my students a lot. Yesterday, almost all of my kids in class cried. They don't want me to go.I felt bad about it,that's why I really not sure with what to do.

Thank you Kandase, I'm actually writing them down, 15 points for pros and 14 for cons. Still thinking hard
