Do you have any regrets?

Let's face it:we don't always make the best decisions, or at least not the wisest. It's human to make mistakes. But whether we choose to learn from our mistakes or prefer to forget them, we can't help but wonder "What if...?". It's this question I want to discuss. What are your regrets? Do you wish you had done something differently? What would you change, if you could?

I used to have regrets but due to my way of believing in the saying "Anything happened for a reason" somehow, stopped me for keeping those feeling of regrets..I even forgot those things I used to regret because it has been replaced by the good things that is happening in my life now. I guess it is really true that you can not change what has been done but you can still change the future

I believe that everything happens for a reason too! We all come into this world with a purpose and sometimes it takes a little pain to realise what our role is.

First of all, WELCOME!! In terms of regrets and what ifs, I have a LOT but then because of those, I believe I have become a better person. Afterall, I don't want to be a whiner all my life.

Thank you! I like this community very much already. I agree with you, but sometimes I find it hard not to wonder how my life could've been had I made certain things differently. I guess I'll probably stop having this tendency once I gain more life experience.

From time to time, I remember the past and imagine if I hadn't done it. But that's normal as human beings to regret something.

I have enough regrets to sink a battle ship.

I wish I could have found the right man to marry and have children and animals with him.

I do have some regrets but they can't be changed. All a person can do is learn and slow down on making rapid decisions.

I have a couple of regrets in my life. First, after studying in a catholic seminary (I wanted to become a priest) for 8 years; I quit. Now I regret it. I would have been the first pope from Canada. Second, I married my second girlfriend. Though my wife is loving and caring; I feel sad because I should have at least a dozen or more girlfriends before I settled down.

Ouch. How does your wife feel about that? If my husband felt that way I'd feel like he didn't care for me at all--that he had just settled.

I think everyone has regrets. We're humans and humans make mistakes. I wish I had been a better mother, although my children would say I was a good mother.I know I could have done better. But I wouldn't want to do it over. I might make more mistakes. And who's to say they were mistakes. Everything is a learning experience.

I regret not being more financially savvy in my marriage. If we were more careful with our funds, we probably wouldn't be trying to dig ourselves out of debt now.

With age there are sometimes things I would do differently, but it's part of life to know how to move forward and even move on and even try to correct mistakes you regret...

I had tons of regrets and always want to change them if I could. But at the end of the day, I those desire to change my mistakes would just fade away. I am happy with what I am and what I have become. I may like it or not, those mistakes and embarrassing moments that I had done was a part of my PRESENT... And as I have always said, I am happy to what I have today, not because of what I have become or material things that I own. I am happy because I am with the people who thinks I am the best when in fact, I am the complete opposite of that.
