Killing Racism

I was watching an excerpt from the news in youtube about the Charlottesville attack. As I run through the comments, something caught my attention. Someone said something like racism could never be erased from the hearts of each individual because it has been deeply rooted there. Then this person said something short, but concise. He/she simply said, "Education, I'm from Canada, believe me it works.
Do you agree? Will education really kill racism for good?

@JeeyanDee It won't be totally fixed because there will always be people who will protest and cause violence to prove their point. We just need to not get in their way and become a victim of their violence.

@just4him Yes I agree. I just hope 99% of the people in the world absorb it in their brains that this notion is stupid so that the racist 1% will just shut up about their irrational ideals.

I guess you are right. How do you think will this problem be fixed then because it has done much damage in the world already. If not education, what do you think will it be?

@JeeyanDee I do not. There will always be those who feel the need to degrade "out-groups" to create "in-group" cohesion. Even sports fans do that kind of thing.

Unfortunately, you are right. Despite that though, do you still believe it possible to end racism once and for all?
