Nowadays vegetarianism or veganism is growing a lot. People are more leaning towards - don't kill the animals for food. Now we do know there are animals who are raised only to be eaten, what about them? Or is it really cruel and selfish of mankind to kill animals for food?

It is more of a choice we make. I am a vegetarian all my life and I have no real issues regarding health as compared to those who are not. Personally, I feel we should treat our fellow travelers like we would like to be treated. I quote Gandhi - "The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated." siva

All animals kill others for food. Mankind is no different. But I´m eating less meat than what I used to eat.

It's a matter of personal choice. I'm not a vegetarian but I don't eat pork. I eat cow, lamb, goat's meat.

I don't think so... There nothing cruel in killing animals that ate made for food... I think it's just that some people don't like the idea of eating meat...
