I am always a fan of troubleshooting, I normally use my free time searching for lots of tips and advice. My husband commended me for that but at the same time, he's a bit bothered because normally girls would be into make-ups and other girly stuff. I have a different kind of hobby.
Now one of our neighbors decided to let go of their junk and decided to give me one of their unused printers. They told me that regardless if it works or not, it's mine. They just don't want it in their attic.
I'm now troubleshooting this baby here as we speak.. I'm trying to get an extra USB cables for this as the printer is not being recognized by my laptop. If this will be fixed then I'm sooo going to be happy. Free printer for me here in the shop ^_^

It all boils down to proper care. We normally do weekly maintenance, we clean its rollers, flush the printer head regularly to avoid clogs. But also it depends on the manufacturer, too. Here, we have 2 Brother Printers, 2 Epson printers and this is our 1 Canon printer. In my experience, Canon printers are the ones who break down first, probably one of the reasons the neighbor is giving it away. Hahahaha :)

Hope the driver on that thing is still available to down load, also cartridges of old printers are very expensive unlike ink wells, its like buying a new printer, anyway good luck

That is really cool that it is free and that you know how to fix things. I used to get clothes as hand me downs when I was little. The only time I got a free printer was when the company could not fix my other one.
