Sad day

I had to take Rygel, the big cat in my avatar, for his last visit to the vet.
He's been a very special cat. He raised Oliver, the kitten in my avatar, and helped with other kittens that came in over the years.
The vet said there was probably some kidney failure and it also looked like his liver was going.
If I had a million dollars, I might've tried to extend his life, but I don't. I'm also not sure he really needed the stress of long clinic stays since he spent all but a few nights here at the house.
Rygel was about 5 or 6 weeks old when he, his mother and siblings came here in early 2005. They were the first cats I rescued from the place that Connie (Maggiepie) lived after I evicted her.
Ya know, 11 months have really been rotten.
I'm ready for this year to be over...

@ElicBxn I've lost 4 cats since December, so I know what you mean. It's hell being a critter lover but I think that's what our 'mission' is.

That is so sad @ElicBxn but you did the very best that you could. You gave Rygel a lot of happy years.

My condolences for losing a cat so young. :( I thought this stuff would stop effecting me, but it apparently does. I'm too sentimental for my own good.
