Number 1 Punk Metal Band Black Sabbath

Is it really any surprise, not your message type band, but seemed to have a message anyway. Not sure how it worked. Iron Maiden same way, but one band that could talk smack over Maiden was this band. I am always like...... take that Iron Maiden, call out my music. Ozzy maybe high, but boy did he change mainstream thoughts, Which is all punk rockers ever wanted. Give us a chance and Mr Ozzy loosened the grip so to speak. Nirvana came later, and you know the story. Punk Rock became mainstream for a minute in the 90's. To this day most are not sure if that was a good thing or bad thing. We say good, but always want that underground sound and mainstream, backstream, undertow or what not Black Sabbath brought or brings.

Actually, now that you mention it, have a lot of good songs with messages. Just not know for it because they satanic. I actually had to restrain myself from playing War Pigs. Always a favorite and and always play it, why chose a different route.
