will you hate your best friend if he lied to you?

I wouldn't hate them but of course I wouldn't consider them best friends anymore. My ex-best friend ALWAYS lied to me, even about stupidities. :\ I realized it through the years, and it was painful, really, because obviously she didn't trust me...

If a best friend lie to me then he is not a best friend... and im sure my friends don't lie to me, and if they do then there must be some solid reaosn behind.

I think I would be disappointed more than hate my friend...Trust would be an issue as well, I don't think I could ever trust them anymore...

I've never had this happen to me but wouldn't be able to forgive them. Why lie if we're best friends we should be able to say anything to each other no matter what. My hubby on the other hand is different his best friend stabbed him in the back a few years back and they are still friends like nothing happened it really burns me cause she's the type of person to do it over and over again and he just keeps on forgiving and forgetting.

i think that it would all depend on what it was all about and whether it was to save my feelings. you know what i mean

hate is a very strong word, would I loose trust in someone that lied to me, in less it was to protect me definatly

As you say, it depends. but if he asked your forgiveness, you should forgive. that doesn't mean that you should trust him, though. He might do it again.

I would know if he lied to me, so he could try, but not get away with it. He's not the lying type, so it's probably to protect me or someone else.

No, I would not hate him. I would be mad at the act, and probably not talk for awhile if I could not discuss things calmly. Althought I Hate Lies, and I may say I hate Him if I am upset and angry, I really truely do not hate anyone for their actions. depend on the case. if my friend lied about something not so important like missing an occassion or a date, i won't make a great deal about it. but if my friend lied about something that is principal / important to me, i think i'll hate that person.

It depends on the case if its severe!..Yeah!, maybe at first im going to hate him but if she or he ask for some forgiveness i will accept it! We all know that nobody's perfect and everything happens for a reason!
