Yesterday was the last day of my dental assisting program and the day we took our final exam which was our radiography exam. I was so nervous during the test because even though I had thoroughly prepared for it I didn't want to risk failing it and not being able to pass the class as a result. Fortunately though all of us in the class who still remained, 2 girls dropped out, passed the exam and the class! We were all so nervous, happy, and a little sad to be ending this part of our lives and leaving each other. Some of us found each other on social media and will be keeping in touch that way which is nice. We had a little party after the exam and even went over resumes and interview skills with the teachers before we said our final goodbyes. Unfortunately, one of our teachers couldn't make it because she was sick in the hospital. She was the one I needed to speak to about my schedule for my internship at the dental office where we were taught. I have to get in touch with her but with her being sick I think i will wait until tomorrow to message her and ask her about it. The only thing to do now is study up for the state board radiography exam and then take it, pass, and become x-ray certified so I can be more valuable for employers. I can't believe I did it, I am so proud of myself and I can not wait to become a working dental assistant.
