Reading the post by @SIMPLYD , titled "I Thought I Was Finished With My Pepper Spray Troubles " - brought to mind an incident which occurred some years ago. While SIMPLYD had no intention of hurting anyone , that's not the case with everyone. My son's college buddy had a girlfriend who always appeared quiet and unassuming, but she fooled everyone. One day after a very big argument between the two, my son's friend was sitting in his parked car sorting some bills when the still very angry girlfriend appeared and pepper sprayed the outside of the car. Naturally, some of it entered the open window and affected the poor guy. He was more shocked than anything else, for he could never imagine she would do something like that. Needless to say, that was the end of the relationship - she wasn't even allowed to set foot in his house again. He requested that her mother collect the clothes and other personal items which she kept at his house. How would you behave if your spouse, girlfriend or boyfriend got you really angry? Would you want to harm that person - or try to talk it over ? How would you deal with the situation?

Sounds like she needs to take anger management classes to me. She went way too far!

I would certainly just walk away and move on. No way would I pull any stunts at all. There are some crazy people around for sure.

Some would go as far as smashing the car windows. Depending on what it is, I would walk away.

@Kandae11 Well, to do such pointless meaningless actions does not endure one to the person either lol if indeed that would be the goal.

I would not try to hurt them, but I sure would walk away from the situation, until they cooled down, even if I had to spend a few days or months away from them.

That was really immature behavior on her part, but there are many who don't act responsibly when they are unhappeny.

I would never try to harm anyone, no matter how angry I was. I'm sorry your son's friend had such a terrible experience with his girlfriend.

@Kandae11 I feel sorry for him, but it's good he got rid of the girlfriend. No one needs that kind of person in their lives.

The poor fellow was too shocked initially to notice the physical discomfort it caused.

I don't think I can take any revenge and do unwanted stuffs. It is certainly not my cup of tea. If some one shocked me that means the person is out from my life, that's it.

Wow, she did take it to extremes. A person that would do something like that to a boyfriend always makes me wonder what they would do to their children. I think he did the right thing.

Oh, that was indeed unforgivable. Good thing nothing bad happened to the boyfriend. His reaction and decision was justifiable. Naturally, when I am angry, I would really have a big voice in voicing out what I feel. Though, it will be that way, when we are just by ourselves. But when in a public place, I would control myself and explode once we get home. Thanks for the mention, by the way.

@Kandae11 Yes, I think the boyfriend realizes that her girlfriend is a bit deranged having that attitude. So, to avoid that he broke with her.

The boyfriend did experience some pain and discomfort but I suspect the mental was worse than the physical. I hate public brawls - so like you, I would prefer to have it in private - if at all.

We have had temper tantrums but never went to the extent of hurting each other. "The "After the storm comes the calm . After the calm comes the sunshine" has been an oft repeated quote accompanied by a cup of tea and that too initiated by my husband.

Pepper spray is nothing to mess around with. I am not one to want to do harm to others. I might hit my husband with a pillow if he annoyed me enough
