Results of MRI

I will try one more time to get this typed and posted. I am having real issues. The MRI did go well, No fractures were found which is good. I do have some small bulging disc's which they didn't seem concerned about. They did find some foci of marrow so they want me to get a bone scan. Here we go again. I will get it set up soon. So that is where things are for right now. Nothing serious and that is a blessing.

A bone scan is the easiest procedure you can have. If you've never had one, all you do is lie down on a table and they run a machine over your body.

I have never had one but that will be nothing compared to the MRI.

@just4him I am not fond of needles. I do have to have a bone scan test done next week and they have to give me an injection. Ugh!

@velvet53 I didn't know what to expect when I had it done the first time. I was expecting needles at the very least. Nada. It's totally painless.

So far I am happy with what they are telling me except for why my lower back hurts so much. Maybe the bone test will answer that.

@velvet53 If they can fix it, have it done. I didn't and at age 66, I could be in a wheelchair soon.

Thank God! Bone scans are painless. You don't have to drink goop or get stuck, just lie on a table. And it'll probably show bone density loss, most of us women have some.

I think the loss is what they are after. At least there was nothing serious and that makes me happy.

@velvet53 The kids keep me super busy. I work online when I get a chance. Pretty basic stuff at the moment. The kids will all be in school again by September 5th. That will free up my time and I will be able to be online more. I hope you are doing better. Any news about the procedure?

@Shellyann36 What grades are your kids in now? Our schools have already started. It will be good for you to have more time. Maybe we can catch up some. They found some things on the MRI so tomorrow I go in for a bone scan and a bone density test.

I have several collapsed vertebrae in my spine @velvet53 . The lower ones are squeezing the spinal cord. My last bone scan showed osteopina and osteoporosis of the spine and hips.

My goodness I can see why your back hurts. Can they do anything about this? They think that I might have osteoporosis too.

It seems like the older we get the worse our health becomes. Who ever said "growing old gracefully" evidently didn't get the memo. Things start falling apart one right after the other with no end in sight.

That is good that it went well and there is nothing drastic! It is annoying to set these tests and appointments up, but at least it is one step closer to knowing what is going on and to cure it!

I do hope it continues this way for everything being Good. Sometimes don't you wish they could run all the Tests at once and get the results back?

I would love it if they did all the tests at once. I asked them why they didn't and they said it was so they could focus on one part at a time in case that is where the problem is. Doesn't make sense to me but I'm not the doctor.

Make sure you do not wear zippered pants or underwire bras when you do the scan, it is very easy.
