Yesterday, we took our son to the government dentist for dental checkup. This is his first visit to the dentist since he was born. He had never had his teeth checkup. Hence,my son was pretty nervous. The dental clinic is located in a shopping mall called Galleria Kotaraya. The government dental is located on the first floor, easy to find and convenient. After registering my son for the visit, we waited for 30 minutes even though our ticket number was 1055, the serving number was 1054. I do not know why it took so long but the clinic was air conditioned, comfy just a little nervous when hearing the drill and scaling sound from the room. When my son's turn was up, we went in together. the dentist greeted us, he was warm and friendly. I told him that it was my son's first dental checkup, so he told my son to sit on the dental arm chair with the round light facing towards his face. It was bright, really bright. The dentist checked on all his teeth, told me which are having cavities and which are the baby teeth which are turning brownish. He said that it is not compulsory to do any crowning yet because the baby teeth will fall off when he is 11-14 years old. My son is 10 this year. I was grateful that the dentist was friendly and gave me lots of information. He told me to bring my son for the next visit in 6 months time. Dental checkup was FREE. When was your first dental checkup?

It is nice that you had a good dentist as well as a great price! I imagine my first checkup was about 65 years ago and you can imagine what the dental office looked like way back then!

My teenager went to visit dentist when she was 20 years old. The school provide a service for primary 1-6 ( age 7-12 ) for free dental checkup in the school itself. So, we don't have to visit the dentist every 6 months.
