Time to Get Back to Uncertain Future

I just love that title. As I was finishing up last night and needed to save it as something that title was just there. It makes it more real and exciting.
I've been riding the excitement roller coaster all day. There is something energetic about starting work on a new book. I love all the work involved in it from start to finish.
This morning I was awake at 2:20 AM. I'm in writing mode now and that means I will be getting very little sleep. So I was down for a morning nap at 8 for two hours. It felt good.
However, before the pool this morning my brain had a lot of questions that needed answers, and there is nothing like the Internet to find those answers. I really thought I would need to head out to the university to get those answers, but I found everything I needed right there, and now I can plow ahead until I reach the next point of necessary research.
Just to give you a little bit of background on this one. Not much yet, but the main character is Maggie Baker. She comes from this hick Midwest town called Green Bay, Wisconsin. My male lead is Nathan Aldridge, he is native New York City. She has a degree from UWGB in Arts and Humanities and works in the theater designing backdrops for the various shows on Broadway. He's a broker on Wall Street.
That's all you're getting. Now I must get back to it. I need to know what those two are up to.
I've enjoyed reading all your posts today, and hope you have a great day/night. I'll be back tomorrow.

It is amazing how characters really have a life of their own isn't it. Sounds like you have a good start.

Yes it is. It's one reason why I can't do summaries of the book. It always changes. They have a life of their own, and I am the privileged one to get to write it down as it happens. Yes, it has a great start. I'm very pleased with it.

Way to go! Best wishes for a successful book. The Title has a bit of mystery to it. As the book develops, might the title change?

I would love to know how you come up with the names of your characters. I don't sleep well, but I don't feel energetic enough to write or do paperwork. Instead, I cook.

I'm glad to see you back. I was about to put out an all points on you. Sometimes it takes a lot of thought. Sometimes the names are there when I sit down to write. These characters took some thought, but as soon as I sat down to start to write the story, the names were there. I didn't need to think about them any longer.

@just4him Thank you. I work each day, and there are times when unexpected issues at the pool or trash area that I need to deal with...then when I get home all I do is fall asleep. Vacuuming a pool is exhausting. Then you have smart aleck people who will dump things in the pool, and you have to do it all over again. You certainly have a fine mind for names.

I hope to see some pages of it at least. How many books have you written so far?

Thank you. It's only just beginning, so there is a lot to figure out with this one yet.

@just4him They married yesterday actually, and it was so beautiful. I never knew how lovely a small intimate wedding could be, we laughed and we told stories and ate a lot of really great food, it was a wonderful day overall. I wish that I would have had a day like that.
