Just about every housing complex equips the houses with drilled wells reaching the average depth of 40 m. If the owners are not satisfied with the standard depth, they can have the wells deepened up to 100 m. Imagine each house having at least one drilled well. Ground may weaken, and in the long run the surface may subside causing an accident. In the capital city, big buildings such as hotels, apartments and so forth are equipped with very deep well, to say nothing of the wells of residential houses that seem hidden just behind such big buildings. I heard the ground level is just a little bit below the sea level.
