iPhone 8: $1.000,00 - Would you pay this amount?

August 29, 2017 8:47pm CST
With the imminent release of the new version of the iPhone for the month of September (probably in the second week), the most "quoted" price so far is the exact $1,000.00. Would you pay this amount on any smartphone? It looks insane!

Everything in technology becomes obsolete give or take a few years. And the absurd prices of gadgets now will dramatically decline after some few years because of a new one. And wow, such price for a smartphone is just too much. Practically, it's not good to buy such phones when you will only use it for calls, some apps, and games since medium standard smartphones which cost way less than extravagant phones can do its job. So, no, I wouldn't pay such an amount for a smartphone. But of course, if one has money, and they want the top notch material of their gadgets, then I guess they could buy whatever phone they want. (haha) How about you? Would you pay for such an amount for a smart phone?

Like you said if the money doesn't matter I'll buy it. Some people I know said that using iphone smartphone is only for showing off. But it's their right to buy whatever they want.

I use iPhone to make money online. I can surf faster with iPhone safari than my sister's Acer notebook worth $500 plus. So yeah I will definitely buy it but not now since my old iPhone is still working well. I wont buy it if for call & text. I have an old cheap phone for call & text only, it's battery can last for days. I also have android I use to make money playing games.

@AkoPinay Yes, iPhone products are definitely well made so kudos to the Apple company who prides themselves about it. :) And it's good that you are able to utilize it to its fullest extent and have some other gadgets for other activities. I for one only use one phone for years on end, an Android phone since I prefer its backend user customizability settings which iPhone doesn't really offer. (hehe)

Back when Sony Ericsson P1i was released in my country in the early 2000 it was priced at Php54,000. It was a little more than $1,000 and I had that phone. I have been using an iPhone for several years now and each year I got the new model. So I guess I will have that phone when it is released here. They usually arrive in my country in November.

What has made you choose it as the best smartphone? There must be something special about it.
