Parents fear sex education

Why do some parents feel shy or embarrassed to educate their children(at puberty stage) on sexual issues ? How do we encourage them to see the importance of this? I think parents should be sensitized on the importance of this in order to encourage them

I think culture plays a big role in this issue, plus, we also have to admit that it could be really awkward to do it, but a necessary thing to do.

@Eriqueen I'm not really sure about that since I'm not a parent myself but I do believe parents should be approached depending on their beliefs and culture. That's the best way of making them understand.

@Eriqueen Yes I agree but that is not my point. What I meant was it should be considered when making parents understand its importance.
