Trump Is Fueling a Rising Right-Wing Terror Threat

I know there will be a few myLotters such as Mrs. Josephus M. Wise and dir297 will deny this report and will probably slam me in the process. Despite what law enforcement experts say and what statistics prove they'll insist the "real" threats come only from "radical Islamic terrorists" and those pesky Mexicans and African-Americans who have the nerve to want to be treated equally. They'll defend Trump's false equivalency between the alt-right/white supremacists/KKK/neo-Nazis and the counter protesters. Without coming right out and saying so they'll more or less agree with Donald that some of these white supremacists are "very fine people". They will be wrong. Violence is never the answer and I know there are "bad eggs" among all groups, including some of the left-wing ones, but in this case there's still no comparison. On one side we have a legacy of genocide, lynchings, rape and torture and on the other side we have people who have a damn good reason to be angry, people who are defending their right to exist. "Very fine people" don't hang out with right-wing terrorists. If they "accidentally" find themselves among them they GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE. Because of a "POTUS" who refuses to strongly denounce all of these people and to proclaim he doesn't want the support of the likes of them these groups are growing and gaining strength. We're in much greater danger from white supremacist terrorists, even if we're not black, brown, Muslim, Jewish or gay, than we are from Muslims or Mexican immigrants.
The president's response to Charlottesville is dangerous, US law enforcement leaders say

I'm not sure what you're getting at. I know there's always been hate and bigotry and unfortunately there always will be but I also know it hasn't been so out in the open for many decades. I seriously fear it's going to again be "acceptable" for people to go around using the "N-word" and other racial, ethnic and other kinds of slurs in public. I don't want to live in that world, in that country.

@anniepa The only way it will become acceptable is for people like us to start accepting it. I don't see that happening (unless too many people are afraid to say something about it).

Thanks for speaking out on this problem. It is really sad that we have to argue about who is right and who is wrong when the goal of hate groups is loud and clear.

It's heartbreaking and totally frustrating. I never would have believed we'd have a President of the United States who would defend Nazis and KKK members or that there would be Americans who would openly and seemingly proudly defend him for doing so.

@Freelanzer It really makes me worry about my country. I want no part of a nation that accepts racism and white supremacy. People who associate with Nazis and other white supremacist groups are not "very fine people" no matter how some try to spin it.

@anniepa That is the part that really concerns me , the number of people who see nothing wrong with this behavior and try to defend it.

Thank you! That's always a relief for me since I find it scary how many people are still willing to defend him and his actions.

@tallawah Absolutely. And I don't care who it offends, if you defend these people and defend someone else who defends them - aka Donald Trump - you're also a racist, anti-Semitic homophobe and belong in Hillary's "basket of deplorables"..

@tallawah I'm confused. How is periwinkle consumption related to the topic at hand?

Trump believes staying in news and being perceived as a negative personality is the way to be famous and stay in news, which is actually a bad way of staying in the news.
