Today is the Day

Just follow the facebook pages of someone in the southern and southwestern part of America. It is that time of year. Jesus coming back would not distract them. It is time for college football. The hoopla (in my area) was kicked off last night with the first of the season, high school football games. Today marks the day for college football. And being from Alabama, I will get to see the most obnoxious behavior as Alabama and Auburn fans go back and forth cutting each other down, even though those 2 teams will not play each other until November. Oh well, I do not begrudge anyone their fun. More power to them. However, I can't help but wonder how much better the world would be if people were as passionate about caring for their families, living out their faith, bettering their communities, and caring for the helpless as they are watching someone run up and down a field with a ball, knocking their opponents to the ground. And as far as the corresponding picture. Its too late! Anything important will have to wait til after Dec 9.
