I Want to Hear About Someone's Best Vacation

This is a challenge, I guess. I will put it out here for everyone who reads this post. I want to hear about your BEST vacation. Post it as a discussion and tag me, so I won’t miss reading it. I’ve been to 25 different countries and 44 U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii. Switzerland was my favorite vacation and Hawaii a close second. Two VERY different vacations, I must say. I also enjoyed a 5 ½ week camping trip traveling across the USA, with my husband and children and two of my brothers and their families. We saw a lot of this country on that trip. As a child, I had actually HOPED to one day visit many of the places and I was so happy when that hope was fulfilled. The nice part was that all of the trips, (not the camping trip) were FREE, all expenses paid by the Jewelry company that I worked for. I EARNED the trips as a PRIZE for my Sales and Recruiting success. I would never have been able to go to all of the places that I have been, if not for the Jewelry company. I’m retired now, but I have a lot of wonderful memories from all these trips. My husband I enjoyed traveling together to many places and I was also able to take other family members and a friend on some of the trips. Take the challenge and tell us all about your favorite vacation.

Been on trips to a theme park or sports game, but never "vacations".

Theme parks are lots of fun, or at least they used to be for me. Not anymore though. Just North of where I live is King's Dominion. We had Season's passes every year when the kids were young. Just East of where we live is Busch Gardens and a HUGE water park in Williamsburg, Virginia. We had season's passes for Busch Gardens also. My daughter and her grandson have season's passes. And my grand daughter and her three children have seasons passes. I've gone with them a couple times, but it's no fun for me anymore. Sports games are fun too. We used to go to Pittsburgh and see the Pirates games. And Kennywood Park was in Pittsburgh too. That was when I was growing up in West Virginia.

@Courtlynn That's right! I used to love to ride roller coasters, but the last time I rode on one, it felt like it was going to jerk the bones right out of my body.

@IreneVincent alot of older folk don't like theme parks anymore. They're more for kids, teens and yound adults in my opinion. As older folk arent always active and able to deal with the ups and downs and fast motions.

Well now that I am on my own then I have to say I had three very best vacations with my husband and all of those were the times we went to the U.S. I mentioned traveling the New England States, we have also traveled across New York State to Niagara Falls and back along the way to various different places and one very favorite trip was to Lake George and the Catskill Mountains which I have fond memories of from childhood.

Sounds wonderful. You should post something about each trip. It would give you something to write about and I know you will get a lot of responses. Everyone likes to read about traveling it seems to me.
