Steely Dan co-founder Walter Becker passed away on Sunday at age 67. Cause of death is not clear at this time.
Becker who co-founded the singing group Steely Dan along with Donald Fagen started their careers in the music business when they both were students at Bard College.
Becker was a guitarist with the band that will best be remembered for their hit song "Do It Again."
May his soul find eternal peace at last since with his passing a lot of the artists from the rock and roll era are leaving us.

These are hitting really close to home. Last year it was Glenn Frey. This year it's Walter Becker. I'm thinking they need to put the members of Poco in isolation next year!

Another recent passing was Skip Prokop of Lighthouse, and the Paupers before that.

How sad. Age 67 seems so young. I was a big fan of Steely Dan way back in the 70's and have continued to be one until now.

I really like the songs "Reeling In The Years" and "Do It Again." Walter will be sorely missed beyond words.
