Have you ever wanted to decorate a room or re-decorate with no restraints? What an adventure- to take a space and make it completely yours! Whenever taking on a project such as this, there are several issues to consider: 1. What is the purpose of the room? Will it be for relaxation, play, entertaining, etc. 2. What is the size and dimensions of the room? You certainly don't want pieces that are not conducive to room size. 3. Who are the people that will be most apt to use the room? How many people are in the family and what are the ages? 4. What is your budget? You don't want to go over budget to the point you can not enjoy your project because you are worried about paying for it. 5. Plan before beginning the project. 6. Begin with one or two signature pieces that you love. Let it inspire the rest of the project. 7. Next, choose the appropriate lighting. Make sure it is positioned so that the purpose of the room is effectively utilized. Also, make sure lighting corresponds to the room theme. 8. Choose pieces you love. Don't create something you will not fully enjoy. 9. If possible, make some of the accent pieces yourself. The more of yourself you invest, the more you will enjoy your finished product. If you are not the decorative type, and your budget permits your hiring a decorator, make sure you articulate clearly (to the decorating team) your wishes.

I have and it was a LOT of fun. Your list is quite comprehensive. Anyone planning on redecorating should print it out and keep it handy. I tried to think of something you might have left out but couldn't. You're very good at lists, aren't you (thinking specifically of your diabetic entry 3)?
