Life changes every day...sometimes drastically, sometimes not so much

I feel so sorry for everyone in the path of these horrible hurricanes. Their lives may never be the same again.
Our daughter and family are waiting to see if they need to leave Charleston, SC and come up to NC. We have a generator and hopefully won't be right in the path of destruction.
Our son broke up with his girlfriend of one year, right before his birthday tomorrow. He and his dad (my husband) hope to play golf tomorrow, then we're meeting at a steak house for a birthday supper.
We really liked his girlfriend, but there was just too much drama. I hate drama. Our son is quite a catch, I believe. He's handsome, a college graduate, has a great career and nice home, and is a Christian and a wonderful father to his 14 year old son. Plus a very special son to us. Of course he has his faults, but I really wish he could find a good wife.
My friend left by plane today to go home to Massachusetts and I miss her already.
So even though the changes in my life today don't begin to compare to what others are going through in the hurricanes, they're still changes in my life that affect me.
I'm certainly not complaining, I'm just saying that every day brings changes, sometimes good ones, sometimes not.
But God is faithful, no matter what happens to us.
The photo is our son, myself, and our grandson.

That is sad that your son broke up with his girlfriend right before his birthday. Hopefully he is still able to have a good birthday. Someday the right woman will come along.
I hope your family isn't affected by the hurricane.

@1creekgirl I am in California, so far away from the hurricane, although there are multiple fires burning in the nearby hills. The air quality here has been pretty bad.
I hope that everyone in the direct path of the hurricane is able to find safe shelter.

Thanks, I pray we'll miss the worst of it, but I feel so bad for those in the direct path. Hope you're not being affected. And yes, I do believe there's a special woman for my son out there.

@Srbageldog Thanks, Stacy. It seems Charleston will be spared, praise God. Hope you and your home aren't in danger from the wild fires.

I am sorry to hear about your son and his girlfriend but it's best to part way then to live with drama. It is hard on a relationship. Some day he will meet a good woman who will become his wife. Nice picture of you and your handsome son and grandson.

Thanks, Laurel. My son and I still look pretty much the same, but I didn't realize how much my grandson has changed in a couple of years! He's 14 now and starting to look like a man.
