I'm talking about Tessa and her schooling. Yes she is ADHD but man it is taking all day and then some to get thru the lessons. Some of it was because I was trying to figure out this block thing she had to do with math. I wrote the teacher and not much help there. Said she has office hours, yeah well lady they aren't til Tuesday and if we wait that long we will really get behind. Gotta figure this out.

I finally figured out the block thing, showed her and it was so easy once you knew what to do. Reading is killing us, she doesn't like to read and I'm trying to get her to do more by herself so I can get stuff done in the house too. I don't regret pulling her out of her public school as she knew just about nothing at that point, but still has to be an easier way. The teacher really made me mad thou, ask for help and get a canned reply on office hours.

My kiddos do math online and use learning apps since I'm not good at math. I hope you can get the help she needs with her schooling. Honestly, with my kids I don't make school stressful. It's supposed to be fun while learning. Everyone has to find what works best for their kids though.

I can actually say I'm good with basically all of it, don't care for Science much thou. However this Common Core Math is so stupid it puts me in a tizzy! I try not to make it stressful and that is my fight with the school she went too if they hate it they wont learn good if at all. Now I'm having the same problem with this new one.

@LovingMyBabies Sadly Pa is not home school friendly really and our school in our district is even worse. Everyone I know in this school district uses Pacyber or another one or it is a fight with this district. I'm researching it more thou. She is learning but not as well as I feel she could if we could slow down some. Like last year they spent about 2 weeks on multiplication and thought the kids should have it down pat. Then moved right on to division, fractions ect,. I agree Common Core will never be used in the "real world".

@Ithink Since I Home School we don't do the common core. They will do just fine without it. They won't learn if they are bored or frustrated, your right about that! The cyber schools are just as tough as public school! That's not something I wanted for my own because I wanted to teach them on their level and pace. My kids can move up or down at any time they need to, which I like. No stress!
