I just found out that Mexico was hit today by an 8.1 earthquake of devastating proportions. As if the Hurricanes were not enough! Here is a link to the CNN report for Today, September 8, 2017:
Dozens of people are dead after the most powerful earthquake to hit Mexico in a century struck off the country's southern coast.

Hurricanes, we can see them coming but earthquakes come suddenly out of nowhere.

@lookatdesktop The ones near the epicenter have no time to do anything but the further from the epicenter the more warning there can be if the sensors are there. There is much we can do but a lot of the money is spent on destruction (war) instead of construction. A divided world cannot stand!

@1hopefulman , so true and I pray for better days when we all see it that way.

Yes, and it would seem nobody there was prepared. I thought there were things in place to alert us all even in places like Mexico, as to the potential of an earthquake. Does the US Geologic Survey department have things in place for these on a global level like NOAA has on the oceans of the world?

Yes I had heard of this Anthony early this morning.

It may be that we need to try to connect the dots between these earthquakes and the recent upsurge in intense hurricanes. The planet may be on the brink of some geologic maximum of sorts.

Your prayers are what matter most. We have no control over nature but we do have the power of prayer that makes us stronger.

Yes, it is sad. But is this a prelude to more earthquakes to come, perhaps in California?

@vsai2008 , That makes me stop and really appreciate the time we have left.

@lookatdesktop Yes, I read about it
An 8.2 quake would be far more destructive to the Los Angeles area because the San Andreas fault runs very close to and underneath densely populated areas.
