Typhoon coming to Taiwan and south Japan

I see in my weather app that there is a typhoon, number 18, in the Pacific, and the projected storm track is west to Taiwan and then it is supposed to curve northeast and hit Kyushu and then maybe come towards Tokyo, where I live. If it makes it this far, it won't be here until the 17th but we already are having some wind and clouds that look like the very edge of a typhoon. We are used to these, so usually they do not create as much havoc as Harvey and Irma have done in the States. Would you rather live in typhoon/hurricane country, or tornado country? I think I'll take the typhoons, thank you.

I would not want to live in typhoon/hurricane country. I want to live some place where it is safe.

We have two typhoons coming too. And since last night we had non-stop rain. Classes were cancelled today as well but there's not much damage in this city because we don't have typhoon signal unlike Manila. I prefer the typhoon too.

I would not want to live in anywhere with hurricanes or typhoons and I don't think I could choose between them because if you're in danger from whatever type of weather it is.

I think that typhoon you are telling us is the typhoon the weather bureau of Philippines is currently monitoring. Its above the island of our country and its heading in your country.
