the creaky door

Once upon a night, deep in the Flatlands of the English Isles, in the magical kingdom of the Eastern Angles, there lived a door. To be more particular, it was a bathroom door.
On this night a wind did blow merrily outside, sweeping breezily across the Flatlands. It was aided in its journey by rain; big spatters of water which made everything wet.
Alack, alay! The bathroom window was open. Alack, alay! The bathroom door was neither completely closed, nor wide open. Alack, alay! The door was creaking. The strikingly pale and pear-shaped princess knew that she had to arise from her warm and cosy bed to a) close the door tightly shut, b) close the window, or c) push the door wide open.
She opted for d) don't bother doing anything.
Eastern Angle princesses are very lazy. Do you think the creaking will keep her awake all night, children? Isn't she silly, especially as it's going to get exceedingly windy as dawn approaches. Let's just hope that she doesn't blow away.
The End.

It's just a shame it's a creaking gate instead of a creaking door!

@Poppylicious
would you be able to sleep with a creaking door which groans and moans at middle of the night by itself?

@poppylicious I do hope the Princess doesn't get too windy or the Prince might make her go and sleep in the spare room.
