I've Baffled My Doctor

Earlier this afternoon I had my sclerotherapy injection in my right leg, which seemingly went okay. But my body had some weird reactions, and I still don't feel quite right. Immediately when the doctor injected the stuff, I got a chemical taste in my mouth. I didn't think much of it, as that happens sometimes with IVs, but when it didn't let up once I got home, I called the office and asked if that was a normal side effect. The receptionist was rude and told me I should try drinking or eating something, because that is definitely NOT a side effect. I also got a mild headache directly after the injection, which I had read online was a sign that there are air bubbles in your blood stream but which will let up eventually, but again the doctor's office said no, headache is not a side effect at all.
A while later I started feeling dizzy, lightheaded, and nauseous. So again I called them back and the receptionist tried to tell me maybe it was "something in the air" making me feel that way. Then she put me on hold and the doctor came on the line and talked to me. He was baffled by my symptoms but concerned. He told me to try laying down and resting and that the symptoms should go away, but if they didn't to call the after hours answering service so they could put me in touch with him. Or I could go to the ER if my symptoms got worse and have the ER get ahold of him, but he didn't think I would need to do that. This was almost 5 hours ago.
I feel okay when I'm laying down at rest. But every time I stand up I get that weird taste in my mouth, my head starts hurting, I get dizzy and nauseous again. I don't know why my body is responding this way. He used a very small amount of solution and he said there are no chemicals in it, it's just alcohol similar to the type you drink. It irritates the vein and causes it to collapse. I know I am not allergic to alcohol, so I don't think I'm having an allergic reaction. But I do wonder if there are air bubbles in my blood stream or something. However, I don't feel bad enough to go to the ER, and I don't even know what they would do anyway. My doctor said he wasn't sure what they would do, unless they did a CT scan, but he hated the idea of me sitting over there for 5 or 6 hours when whatever is wrong is probably nothing.
So I don't know what's up but I hope that whatever this is, it goes away by morning. If not I will call his office and let him know. I don't feel any worse so I don't want to bother him at home in the middle of the night. I guess I will just ride it out. Other than all this, my leg feels fine. Maybe I am just having bad anxiety from stressing over why I had that weird taste in my mouth after the injection. Who knows!
Have you ever had a weird reaction to anything?

I sure hope so. I'm hoping these symptoms are just from anxiety and nothing else. So odd that I reacted this way, but then I should have expected it since I keep reacting oddly to all kinds of medication...hence why I now have bad medication anxiety.

@Srbageldog ..Try drinking warm water because it helped me everytime I got some headaches due to antibiotics. Glad that you`re ok now. Hoping for your full recovery!

I will. I plan on calling him on the morning and letting him know I'm okay. I think I'm okay now. The only symptom I have now is a headache, but I get those all the time anyway.
