We spent Tuesday cleaning up the cupboards of our gigantic bed set. We have no boxes in the house so finding things to store stuff was a little difficult. I am going to have to have a garage sale very soon. I need the money and I need to get a lot of stuff out of this house.
After I exhausted myself helping clean out the bed set, my husband took the bed apart, removed the wall paper from the wall behind it and the border around the room, and he washed down the walls. Now he is working for 4 days so I have to make my paint and floor purchases so he is ready to go when he is off. His next step is to remove the closet doors (and I have to find a place to hang all the clothes), then repair all the holes in the walls and remove baseboards. Primer, paint, carpet removal, laying of flooring and window and closet curtains and we're done. It's going to move a lot faster than I anticipated, as long as he doesn't choose a golf day over working on the bedroom.
I am still concerned that this will wipe us out financially, because it will, but I am looking forward to the end result.

It's always nice to have a freshly redecorated bedroom but will it refresh things between you? I hope so, for your sake.

My husband and I built a family room on a shoestring. We had a teeny budget and stayed within it. It meant it took a year to finish...but we paid for each element with cash when it was purchased.
