I'm thinking about starting to can stuff. I already make Jam. Is canning much harder? For those that already can: What do you can? Do you have any recipes for a beginner?? What type of things do you need to can?? *Yes, I know I could probably look all this up on the internet but I wanted to see people's experiences first.*

I have over 1,000 jars of home canned food. I have a garden and I buy and can meats. BUT most things home canned needs to be pressure canned so you`ll need one, they are around $100 and for recipes I use the "Ball" canning book a lot. or shared recipes from a facebook group I am in. I do not do it for fun but as a way of life. I also write about my journey on my blog, if you are interested in reading its on my profile.

Oh, I was hoping that it would be like making Jam just with vegetables. Maybe I'll have to look into joining some groups that meet to "can" and stuff like that. See if I'd like doing it before spending that much on a press.
