All the Time in the World

All the carefully built brick walls I have wrapped myself up in cracked today. One was a song I heard by Louis Armstrong that strongly made me realize that I really wish my husband had all the time in the world and that his passing had not been the turn of fate and that we cannot account for any of our tomorrows. The second reason for the sadness today was the very grey and dreary day with rain just pouring down as if all of the heavens were crying. It made me realize that I needed more time to really pull myself together and that if we could have sunny days until at least mid-October I might just pull through alright. Do rainy days and certain songs make you feel like raining too?

I am one of those strange people who likes that kind of weather better. We are coming off a long, very hot summer when there were many wildfires in the area. We were lucky to not be personally affected, but it's always a worry. I get depressed in the summer here! I am so sorry you are going through such sadness. Losing your partner is so hard to cope with. I hope you can get a sunny day soon. Maybe you can escape into a funny movie or a good book? Not a permanent solution, but maybe a distraction from the weather. Wishing all the best for you.

I see that you are sad and with reason.Good that the sunshine helps you feel a little lighter. This song always brings to my mind the James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

You are bound to feel down and sad any given day of the week Sandra. We all feel like that for one reason or another. I still think of my babies sometimes too not very often but it can get to me if I let it which I don“t. Louis Armstrong was such a great Singer I see skies of blue and clouds of white, the bright blessed day the dark sacred night and so on. I often sing that too but it makes me happy so I hope it makes you happy too even if its just for a minute a big hug to you and that gorgeous Sid the Cat.

I'm so sorry, Sandra. I can understand how gloomy days and certain songs can make you miss your husband even more. I don't have really any good advice, but I'll pray that God will comfort your spirit.

I understand. Sunny days almost always help me feel better, even more so if I have been feeling sad for awhile. I'm so sorry about the loss of your husband. Please be patient and kind with yourself during this time of grief.

I love this song. It does have great meaning to it. I am sorry that you are having a down day. Maybe it was meant to be that way so that you could let lose some of your feelings and see what you want to do now.

I hope you have many sunny days, and that you can also "drink the rain."
