One thing that I don't like when I am busy blogging or Mylotting is distraction! It is difficult to concentrate on my task online when constant distractions kept pounding on me. My son has a very bad habit. Whenever I am free, I told him to discuss his homework with me because I could guide him on a few subjects that he is poor at. However he loves to procrastinate. He delays until he has the mood and then is the wrong timing when I am busy mylotting. His distractions is horrible, every question, kept asking me how to solve it. He doesn't like to ask one shot, ask every homework problems before start doing on his own. So, we constantly have arguments. In other words, I have to wait for him 24 hours a day. What are your distractions that bother you most?

Actually, your son is very smart he knows it very well that when you are mylotting, it is best time to disturb you. . This way you won't be to able answer his queries completely and you just cannot complain that he did not discuss his home work with you. As regards your question - I also like peaceful and quite atmosphere around me, when I am mylotting.

@peachpurple - You need to adjust with him, rather than he adjusting with you. Kids are generally naughty, so you need to get hold of him at an appropriate time. You could gently remind him that when you are busy, he should not disturb you unnecessarily.

yes, a sneaky kid who knows how to distract my attention when I am busy. Many reasons when he gets punished by teacher for wrong answers. I prefer night time but need to sleep because had to wake up at 5am

Hi, I've got a solution for you, so you can have two birds with one stone! First of all, I believe that you should give your son more initiative in doing his homework on his own. Encourage him to do as much as he can by himself, and perhaps tell him not to be afraid of making any mistakes. Reassure him that there is no right or wrong answer, just a personal point of view. Then give him your own point of view (=the solution), and let him think on that. In this way, he will start learning and thinking independently, without any assistance, and you will finally have free time to be active on myLot. I hope this helps!

thanks very much for your suggestion. But I have one huge problem, He is supposed to sleep at 10pm at night because he has to wake up at 5am in the morning for school. If I left him alone, give him the freedom to do his homework, he will start doing his homework AFTER dinner that is 8pm, he has 8 homework to finish. Once he comes back from school, he bathe, had lunch and plays computer online game the whole day until dinner. That isn't right , right? That is why I had to sit beside him and keep pushing him to do his homework after lunch. Otherwise, he will finish his homework after 12am!!! By the way, I had tried given him freedom several times, he rather do his homework during the last minute, he doesn't appreciate it.
