This morning, my mom made glutinous rice wiith chicken packed in lotus leaf for my breakfast. In Cantonese, it is called "Lo Mai Gai". Usually chicken pieces and mushroom cubes and boiled eggs put into glutinous rice, and then the whole is packed in a dried lotus leaf. Steaming for about 10-20 mins, a delicious Lo MaI Gai is done. But, one with stomach issue needs to be careful. This should not be eaten too much, it is easily given rise to indigestion. This Lo Mai Gai could be bought in supermarket too, but normally its storage life is short. So if you notice that its storage life is longer than normal, you had better not buy it. It may has antiseptic. That's the reason why my mom made it for me, not buying from supermarkets. Have you tried this before in Chinese restaurants? It is also provided as Dim Sum in Chinese restaurants.

The way you described it made me salivate. My favourite Chinese dish is the Chinese rice with shredded beef sauce. I love it.
