Few days ago, one of my previous post was traditional lanterns, but someone said that why did I have no idea of their meaning and that knew nothing about my traditional customs.
Now today, I would like to post one that I am really interested in-Seal Character (an ancient style of calligraphy) which was from Qin dynasty. So far, there has been over 2,000 years history.
There are many kinds of seal character, but I would prefer the QinZhuan, which is a smooth writing showed in the picture.
There are much more traditional customs in my country, yet I have limitted time and energy, thus I need to choose something that I'm do interested in and have fun with it. So I choose this. So forget about the lanterns, who care its meaning and history?
I bought a book about QinZhuan and I learned the history of it and how to write. Of course, the ancient words represent what's the meaning for today.
I sure you will find a lot of fun if digging something you truly love.

I have seen this sort of script in Japanese traditional art too. Also they have what is called beautiful handwriting, very flowing, but nobody can read it easily.

er? Qin dynasty, is such a long time and this is not very common even today. Few people know and learn it, and it is not the popular handwriting nowadays.

Sometimes I wish I could write those. But then my carpal tunnel would end up getting worst either way
