Day 34 Isaiah 39 39:1 At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered. 2 And Hezekiah was glad of them, and showed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah showed them not. 3 Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? And from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon. 4 Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not showed them. 5 Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts: 6 Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, says the LORD. 7 And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. 8 Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days. When something good happens to you, what do you do? Don’t you tell everyone who is interested every tiny detail? Your happiness cannot be contained because of your good fortune. Hezekiah did just that. When the Babylonians heard how God had healed him, they came with presents and King Hezekiah showed them everything in his kingdom, all the treasuries, and everything he valued most. Isaiah told him that wasn’t a wise move on his part as one day, Babylon would come and take away all the treasures from the country and his children would be eunuchs to them. Hezekiah did not deny what Isaiah told him, but knew that what would come about would not happen in his lifetime. Is ignorance bliss? Not usually. Hezekiah wasn’t concerned about what would happen, only that God had cured him and he was alive to tell about it. He wasn’t concerned that he told the one people who would come against Judah and Jerusalem and take the people away captive into exile. None of that concerned him, only the fact he was alive. As Christians, you are admonished to be aware of what is to come. There are signs giving throughout scripture about the end days, and what you are to look for. As you read the Bible, you see that those signs are happening today. However, there is one sign that has not been told, and that is the day the world would end. Supposedly today, September 23, 2017 is the day the world will end. With all the signs given about what to look for Jesus told his disciples that no one, not even him, but only God his Father knew the day and hour when the end would come. He could only give signs about when the end was near. Matthew 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Isaiah gave Hezekiah a warning about what would come about. Jesus gave us warnings with signs about what would come about. You are not to ignore the signs, but take heed of them, knowing that one day there will be an end, but no one knows when that end will be. Let’s pray: Father, you know all things. You gave signs to your people about what to expect. From the beginning when man first sinned, to today, the signs are all around. Help me see the signs, and know you are in charge not man about when the end will come. Help me live everyday fully aware that one day you will return for your people, and then the last days will be upon the world. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. We do indeed, seem to have signs of the end times. I hope our tensions with NK don't signal that.

Matthew 24 also has wars and rumors of wars as one of the signs, so yes, NK would be one of those.

It's good to be able to see them and know God has everything under control.
