Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving was joking about a flat earth

I have to give the comic prize to Boston Celtics guard Kyrie irving for saying that he was joking about the Earth being flat.
I am starting to wonder if basketball and football players today are trying to be comedians with their silly comments about the Earth being flat.
My suggestion to Kyrie is that when he retires from playing basketball, he can always either work as a stand up comedian or work as a heel commentator for professional wrestling company.
Please humanoids do not take what a professional basketball player says about things that we know for a fact like the Earth being flat is a reality.
