A quiet afternoon with a movie.Too hot out there.

Good afternoon.Another steamy hot day.
We decided to watch a movie for the afternoon.
Too hot to do anything out there.
The movie I chose The Hero that I have been hearing so much about.
Sam Elliott remember him for the Lifeguard way back and a hunk.
he is 71 years or so and still have the same body and the famous
moustache.

In the sunset of his long film career as a cowboy
Lee Hayden earns a living doing voice over.
He spend his time in a marijuana haze.
then found out later the his cancer diagnosis leads him to reassess his past and mend his fractured relationship
The movie is slow but keeps your interest there.
there are talk of Sam Elliott maybe a nomination in the best actor award.
this is a far cry with all the bad movies I have seen out there.
Ilke a good story.This is one of them.

Sounds interesting, glad you enjoyed it. Good to see Sam Eliot is still making films. There is also a lot of crap movies out there. Kind of goes with the music industry, make a lot of money, but says a lot of nothing.

Hey, that's one I haven't seen. Thanks for the recommendation. My mom and I watch a movie every day. I usually show the action kind for her because her hearing is so bad. So I look for either good scenery or a lot of action. Today we watched "Romancing the Stone" and we both really enjoyed it. I'd seen it in the 80s in the theater, but my memory for these things is so crappy it's like seeing it new, lol. I'll catch this Sam Elliot one sometime when I'm watching alone.

It was hot yesterday for us here in Michigan too, although not quite that hot. I cleaned siding and it took me all day long, or at least from 10:30 until almost five. It would have been a shorter day except I had the outs with my one guy employee as he wouldn't do the work like he usually does. I took him home and finished working by myself.
I enjoy it somewhat hotter anyway. Yesterday was manageable for me, today a bit too cold.

@amadeo We prefer not to clean it that way as the water can get under and into the insulation. We don't want the liability. It seems to be happening more and more, but if it's the homeowner that does the work, then they get to pay the price for fixing it. We prefer not to open that can of worms.
I think the chemicals we use does a better job too as I've seen work done after someone powerwashed and some soot and mildew needs more than just the high-pressure washing .
